“In Edinburgh's Bruntsfield neighborhood, this boutique hotel strikes me as a smart choice. Its lively bar, complete with DJ entertainment, has a distinct appeal, and the location, while not directly in the city center, has the advantage of being near Links Park. aDecent Stay With Minor Issues

room size coffee machine excellent shower outside noise parking difficulty keg uplift
The room was a good size. I appreciated the coffee machine and complementary water provided. The shower was excellent, and the bathroom WAS big. GREAT christmas decorations were present and good decor was generally noticeable.
The noise level was high. I struggled to get to sleep due to outside noise until midnight and then keg uplift woke me at 5am. Parking proved difficult. My car was parked some four streets away where the charge was slightly less. This parking required AN app.

bright room amazing soundproofing
I stayed in a double room park view and it was so bright. the soundproofing was amazing. I didn't hear anything even with the bar below (i usually bring earplugs!).
the shower design meant a bit of water ended up on the bathroom floor (nothing major, though).

clean room large room comfortable bed loud music unhelpful staff sleep disruption
The room was very clean and large. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The bathroom included one of the best showers i have experienced at a hotel.
The music from the bar was audible from all the rooms on the first floor! the staff REFUSED to turn the music down until 1am. i should have paid more attention to the ear plugs left as a warning sign of possible sleep disruption. The hotel manager didn't seam to care much.
